DuPont Real Estate

Weyerhaeuser’s Northwest Landing, began construction in 1989 to create a residential, commercial and industrial development. The Village of DuPont grew from 601 inhabitants to today’s approximately 9,175 residents. Today DuPont is made up of both the Historic Village and the modern Northwest Landing, creating a vibrant new community. Some notable places to visit in the DuPont area would be the Sequalitchew Trail to the Beach, Clock Tower Park and the DuPont Historical Museum. The Patriot Athletic League is a non-profit organization proudly providing T-ball, Machine Pitch, Baseball and Girls Fastpitch every spring.

DuPont is just outside the gates of Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) which is the largest military installation in the western United States. JBLM encompasses over 415,000 acres, including the Yakima Training Center in Central Washington. It supports a population both on-base and in neighboring communities (like DuPont) of more than 125,000 people, including military personnel, families, civilian and contract employees, and retirees and their families.

DuPont is served by Steilacoom Historical School District and encompasses Chloe Clark Elementary (K-3) Saltar’s Point Elementary (4-5), Pioneer Middle School (6-8) and Steilacoom High School (9-12).  You can learn more about SHSD schools at
