Steilacoom Real Estate

Welcome to Steilacoom, the oldest incorporated Washington town established in 1854. The community contains a large historic district with homes dating from the mid-1850’s, overlooking the Puget Sound, with beautiful views.  You can visit the Steilacoom Historical Museum which chronicles its important contribution in Washington State history. In 1975, the Steilacoom historic district was nominated for the National Register of Historic Places. You can also explore the non-profit Steilacoom Tribal Museum and Cultural Center to learn more about the Steilacoom Tribe history and culture.

With dramatic views of the Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains, residents enjoy many annual community events as well as several family friendly beaches and public parks on the Sound.

Steilacoom prides itself in being a very friendly small town with residents who know their neighbors and benefit from one of the best school districts in the state.

Steilacoom is served by Steilacoom Historical School District and encompasses Cherrydale Elementary (K-3) Saltar’s Point Elementary (4-5), Pioneer Middle School (6-8) and Steilacoom High School (9-12).  You can learn more about SHSD schools at
